King Penguins of Salisbury Plain, South Georgia

November 10th, 2008

The king penguin colonies at St. Andrews Bay and Salisbury Plain in South Georgia are legendary among nature enthusiasts.  Our clients often tell us that visits to these two places are among the most memorable experiences they have on their Antarctica cruise.  It’s difficult, if not impossible, to describe the experience, but the video below—taken at Salsibury Plain—can give you a small taste of what it’s like.  Ultimately, you just have to go there to experience it!
